POSITION SUMMARY:

The Stock Clerk is a non-exempt position within Tecomet's supply chain department. Responsible for receiving and issues material and compiles stock records in stockroom by performing the following duties.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.

• Stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information.

• Fills orders or issues supplies from stock.

• Aids in cycle count inventory as required.

• Distributes stock among production workers, keeping records of material issued.

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure

• Must be able to be trained in usage of, and operate, powered industrial trucks

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED and one to three months related experience and/or training.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
