Verdantas is seeking a Geologist . This position will be located at our Manchester, New Hampshire location .
Responsibilities:
Perform field tasks, including data collection, measurements, excavation observation
Prepares field notes and related documentation in accordance with company standards
Operation and maintenance of remediation system
Maintains Excel databases associated with regulatory compliance
Assists with preparing regulatory submittals, such as permit applications and plans
Oversees well installations and soil borings
Collects groundwater, soil, sediment, air, and surface water samples
Retrieves necessary data using online databases, off-line records, or other means
Enters collected data into report format using applicable software and company formatting guidelines
Applies basic knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and regulatory programs
Assist with on-call emergency projects on occasion
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Geology, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
0-2 years of relevant experience
Ability to conduct fieldwork with some heavy lifting
Proficient with MS Office suite of products
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training a plus
Previous consulting experience is a plus
Must have a valid driver's license
Must have a personal vehicle for independent transportation to work sites
