Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in the non-profit sector, based in Manchester, New Hampshire. As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing various accounting tasks, ensuring the smooth running of our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Handle daily mail and maintain filing and faxing systems

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations

• Oversee monthly and quarterly billing procedures

• Process ACH and credit card payments with accuracy and efficiency

• Prepare and submit expense reports in a timely manner

• Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting functions

• Maintain accurate customer credit records

• Ensure the effective management of accounting tasks

• Respond and resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements • Proficiency in executing accounting functions in a non-profit setting

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to handle billing functions accurately and efficiently

• Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
