Job Title: Technician Helper

Job Description

This person will be supporting technicians and going on the road with them to help set up and stage the heating equipment on construction sites. The employee will stage and set up the ducts and gas lines that connect the heating equipment before the technicians do the connections. They will be required to support service technicians in the delivery of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support technicians on the road and at construction sites.

• Set up and stage heating equipment, ducts, and gas lines.

• Assist in the delivery of HVAC equipment.

• Support service technicians in their tasks.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude

• Experience with hand tools

• Knowledge of HVAC systems

• Experience in HVAC electrical systems

• CFC certification (preferred)

• At least 2 years of HVAC experience or equivalent school experience

• Experience in a service-related role interacting with customers

• Ability to lift 50 lbs

• Basic math skills

• Mechanically inclined

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience maintaining equipment

• Experience with general labor, maintenance, and construction

• Experience working on cars or changing oil is a plus

Work Environment

This role involves working both in the shop and on the road riding with technicians. Normal working hours are Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM or 4 PM. Some after-hours and weekend work may be required during peak times.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Manassas, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
