Job Summary:

The Reuse Parts Material Processing Handler is responsible for working with customers and suppliers with a common goal to get the materials placed back into inventory after the supplier has cleaned, coated, refurbished or repaired (CCRR) the part. The job involves safely transporting the material on site, identifying what the material is (sometimes with inconsistent or even wrong information provided by customer), electronically filling out documentation and working with the customer if information is incomplete or if more is requested from the supplier, creating and updating purchase orders based on feedback from supplier and preparing shipping documentation so the material can be sent to the correct supplier address. Sometimes you will need to ask and wait for help when maneuvering heavy parts. Often times you will be expected to figure out answers to questions you can determine on your own with limited to no guidance from a direct supervisor. You will be required to think critically and tackle issues and be comfortable asking for help when you are stuck. Your ability to be safe and having the self motivation to do things right the first time is a must. Accuracy is a must and we don’t have time for rework. You will need to be able to prioritize work and be comfortable working in an environment where priorities can change daily or even hourly. You will need to connect with customers and suppliers often times through electronic chat and email. You must be able to type fluently. You will need to call out material returns with suppliers, when there is an immediate need identified by the customer. You will be expected to offer suggestions and constructive feedback to improve the process. If appropriate your suggestion will be implemented with Plan, Do, Check, Act, and Continuous Improvement. Expected to participate in 8D discussions and solve problems. Must participate in GEMBA / POWER walks with leaders to improve the process. Expected to participate in Material Operations 5S/6S program. In addition to 6S of your immediate work area, you will be responsible for a cross functional area that will be outside your immediate work area. Our entire team participates in Warehouse upkeep. You can expect to wait for days for answers from some suppliers, so being organized and able to implement quickly when we get an answer. Expected to respond to supplier requests before the end of the next business day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive in used material/part from customer

  • Identify the part number using available information

  • Create Purchase Order in SAP for the material number / qty

  • Fill in required vendor electronic forms

  • Resolve shipping address and create shipping document

  • Resolve issue between supplier and customer

Uses various applications:

  • SAP

  • Microsoft Teams, Office, Excel, PowerPoint other Basic Office

  • Micron Developed programs Matreq/matreturns, shipdoc

Safe Material Transport:

  • Safely transport materials using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, carts, lift tables, pallet wrapper)

  • Safely package materials on pallets, so they do become damaged/destroyed during shipment. Work with our shipping team if materials are being damaged to determine root cause and implement a fix.

Communication:

  • Purchase Orders: Price changes initiated by the supplier. Our team is responsible for - 1) Making sure all impacted POs prices are updated and 2) Communicating with our procurement team to update the price in the master file to prevent duplicate supplier requests.

  • Purchase Orders: Quantity updates. Sometimes supplier will decrease a count due to damage. The PO needs to be updated and the process area advised. - Quality Control: Ensure the material number, qty, shipping address/document is accurate prior to delivering to the dock team for shipping of the material. If delicate/ceramic/thin item is on a pallet ensure the item won’t get crushed by supplying extra packing material. - Stock Organization: Organize and maintain the warehouse, ensuring materials are stored accurately and labeled correctly.- Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of all transactions, including POs, emails, shipments, work in progress.- Communication: Coordinate with other departments (e.g., purchasing, production, shipping and all of MOG department) to ensure smooth operations and resolve any inventory-related issues.

Qualifications:

- Education: High school diploma or GED

- Experience:

Previous experience in a reuse program, warehouse operations, or a related field.

Previous experience thinking critically and solving problems

Filling out forms where accuracy is required in this environment where minor details matter

Participating and Maintaining a 5S/6S environment

- Skills:

Proficiency in typing on keyboard

Responding appropriately to customer/supplier communications

Decipher emails that require a response vs. ones that do not

Communicate effectively

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer applications.

  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as a pallet jacks.

  • Good Verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 40 lbs).
