Micron's Finance team is seeking a Financial Analyst. This role will be responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing financial concepts for financial planning and control. Performing technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Gathering, analyzing, preparing recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements, operating forecasts, etc. Performing economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance, and impact of governmental requirements.

Budgeting

Develop quarterly financial operating budgets for assigned site organizations (Facilities) in adherence to corporate finance calendar. Accurately reflect area operational activities and capital investment strategies in budget and forecast submissions. Thoroughly understand area business and technical objectives and ensure that budgets and forecasts contain current spending requirements. Challenge unreasonable or unrealistic spending submissions and provide experienced advice and counsel to areas in meeting budget targets. Work closely with area management to acquire timely budget/forecast inputs. Review final budget output with area management. Take a firm lead on financial issues affecting your areas and ensure that you are seen as the focal point for issue resolution and policy clarification.

Measurement Analysis

Prepare and deliver comprehensive measurement analysis, with explanations of significant variances, to area management as defined by measurement process. Highlight significant budget variances and spending trends. Strive to structure measurement analysis to identify strategies which will result in the lowest possible operating costs. Be proactive in your approach to area cost reduction activities and ensure the areas you support are advised real-time of changing financial objectives affecting their areas.
