Saint-Gobain Manager, Digital Products in MALVERN, Pennsylvania

The Manager, Digital Products is responsible for driving strategy and execution of web-based properties, including tools and applications, overseeing roadmaps, development and maintenance of key business tools that support business strategy. This individual has oversight over existing and new products, ensuring continual optimization and maintenance of business, while also driving new product development.

With oversight of product roadmaps for existing and new web tools and properties, the Manager must bring a strategic mindset, a hands-on understanding of technology infrastructure, and a collaborative approach to driving net-new enterprise digital initiatives while maintaining and improving existing digital platforms. Key to their success is a fluency in the digital ecosystem, and the ability to continually leverage the infrastructure most effectively to deliver on business strategy. In order to do so, this individual acts as a liaison and key lynchpin between multiple stakeholders, ensuring a unified strategy that delivers with priority on the most critical initiatives while servicing a wide range of business inputs and priorities.

The successful candidate will be a technology-first quick learner with the capacity to rapidly integrate new technologies into existing strategy, and the knowledge to fully leverage a complex Martech stack. Their working knowledge of enterprise architecture, data infrastructure, and the technology landscape will enable them to design the most effective and elegant approaches to planning and executing across many competing initiatives, and will allow them to provide strong and effective leadership to a team that is responsible for driving forward multiple technology-based initiatives.

This individual will bring a strong project management skillset, and will drive the most effective PMO methodology, designing processes and driving collaborative relationships that deliver most effectively, and with the ability to employ lean or robust agile methodology, depending on the most effective and resource-appropriate approach. In order to do so, they successful candidate will have range from a project management standpoint, and will lead and coach teams who deliver with both lean, iterative approaches for small initiatives and enterprise scale, highly-disciplined and documented projects.

The ability to translate business strategy into actionable digital product roadmaps and build financial businesses cases will be core to the success of this role, and as such, the relationships fostered across the business; a drive to understand business strategy, goals, and objectives; and a passion for technology that delivers solutions will be critical skills and behaviors.

The Manager, Digital Products is responsible for ongoing maintenance and oversight of core digital properties, which may include customer portals, business storehouses, and web-based tools and applications. They will oversee CMS authoring and updates across these properties, ensuring a robust intake and delivery process for ongoing business updates. They will develop and uphold service-level agreements and standard operating procedures to ensure predictable, quality, timely delivery for updates to these key properties.

This individual must be able to develop team members, manage contractors, navigate the demands of both internal and external stakeholders, and align resources to successfully deliver digital products while maintaining focus on the most important work to be done.

  • Develop a strong digital experience that drives measurable business growth. Assess the competitive landscape, interpret user research findings, and integrate inputs from internal and external sources to build a cohesive long-term vision, strategy, and digital roadmap.

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and lead the product strategy and roadmap for key customer segments, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and market trends.

  • Support and drive 1CTX strategy and execution as a critical leader of the initiative, partnering closely with other 1CTX stakeholders across the organization to plan, define, and execute successfully.

  • Build and implement a strategy for ongoing maintenance, increased tech utilization, and improved organic optimization for new and existing web-based digital platforms and tools. Align resources with an eye toward prioritization and business impact, and regularly measure and report on strategy, objectives, milestones, and KPIs.

  • Work closely within the Corporate Marketing team to find alignment points in customer experience, brand experience, SBD Marketing, and Integrated Marketing and drive collaboration to improve customer experience via digital platforms. Bring a spirit of shared success to horizontal collaborations such that digital roadmaps become a critical enabler of other strategies and goals.

  • Partner to ensure expertise in UX mapping and digital design to optimize customer centric digital experience across our various platforms.

  • Coordinate closely with Customer Experience, UX and Analytics teams to drive insights into action on digital platforms, and measure and optimize outcomes. Leverage data and insights to prioritize work and make data-driven improvements.

  • Ensure all digital programs have clearly defined objectives, KPIs, and metrics to evaluate success and continuous, measurable improvement in client campaigns. Educate and inspire internal CertainTeed constituencies on digital opportunities and best practices.

  • Embody a commitment to service, meeting, maintaining, and exceeding the service-level agreement (SLA) between Corporate Marketing, BU, and SBD business clients. Utilize tools and platforms to maintain regular communication on progress, timelines, and deliverables to ensure stakeholder satisfaction throughout the planning and execution of projects and deliverables.

  • Develop priorities and goals for each member of the team, ensuring goals cascade to all team members. This will be done under the direction of the Director, Digital Strategy & Experience, and through a collaborative and interactive planning process.

  • Manage staffing needs and identify areas for organizational development updates. Guide the professional development needs, processes, and outcomes within the team, aligning with Saint-Gobain’s Values and attitudes.

  • Manage, encourage, and grow staff through frequent feedback and coaching. Motivate team to achieve optimum results.

  • Participate in the preparation and management of overall department’s budget as well as manage and maximize contracted services from external vendors.

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, within the Corporate Marketing team and across the CertainTeed and Saint-Gobain businesses.

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in the required field

  • 10+ years of progressive digital product strategy and/or equivalent experience

  • Strategic mindset and strong results orientation

  • Proven ability to lead a team with a broad set of customer needs

  • Strong conceptual design skills that translate user and business needs into successful digital experiences

  • Detailed knowledge of digital analytic platforms and research tools to drive decision making

  • Demonstrated experience in working successfully in large, complex, aggressive organizations, balancing multiple assignments and deliverables simultaneously

  • Proven experience in cultivating organizational change and creating buy-in for new initiatives through market mastery and data-driven approach

  • Multi-channel digital strategy with knowledge of current and emerging digital platforms (mobile, tablet, connected CE devices, marketing automation)

  • Strong written and verbal communication capability; communication and presentation skills; poised, confident and articulate

  • User-service oriented with a high level of empathy and detail

  • Responsible budget management and financial acumen

  • Must be an effective communicator and possess the ability to work with and lead a group in an agile team environment.

  • The Manager must possess strong influence skills, communications savvy, poise, and the ability to gain alignment for a unified digital vision. This individual will champion and drive the vision for the CertainTeed omni-channel digital experience, products and efforts, in collaboration with leadership while maintaining brand standards and expectations.

  • must be able to work well in a matrixed organization with multiple internal customers with varying degrees of knowledge/expertise. Will use this role to educate our businesses and execute on their needs using current technology and tools.
