The Vanguard Group Application Engineer III in Malvern, Pennsylvania
Application Engineer III (The Vanguard Group, Inc. / Malvern, PA) -- Provide advance level system analytics, design, and implementation of applications and databases, under general direction; translate technical specifications into code for complex new or enhancement projects for internal clients; write programs, develop code, test artifacts, and produce reports; elevate code into development, test, and product environments on schedule; provide follow up product support; utilize thorough understanding of software development methodology; train and mentor staff with less experience; utilize thorough understanding of client business functions and technology needs and broad understanding of technologies, tools and applications; interface with cross functional team members, and communicate system issues at appropriate technical level for each audience. Requires Master's in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Computer Applications, or closely related IT field and two years of experience in job offered or in IT positions including Manager/Application Consultant-III and/or Programmer/Developer Lead and/or Technical Lead and/or Software Engineer; or Bachelor's and five years of experience. Background in education, training or experience must include IAM Cloud experience; AWS Cloud databases -- Aurora, Postgres, RDS, and Redshift; Python; API expertise; Java; Spring Boot; Microservices, REST Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Company operates on hybrid model with three days in office and work-from-home available two days.
