Internship Program Overview:
Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Summary of Role:
To support the silicon photonics modelling team in the development of best - of - breed compact models for a wide range of optical and electro-optical device s
Essential Responsibilities include:
Assist in the design and physical layout of SiPh device characterization structures
Assist in the development of scripts to perform model parameter extraction from characterization results
Assist in the development and coding ( VerilogA ) of compact device models
Development of automation flow and scripts for repetitive tasks
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Required Qualifications:
Education – Actively pursuing a PhD in Physics, Electrical /Electronic Engineering, or related field
Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
Ability to work at least 4 0 hours per week during the internship
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior related internship or co-op experience
Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong planning & organizational skills
Strong a pplied m athematical s kills
Strong programming skills, e.g., MatLab , Python, R, etc.
