About the Role:
An opportunity has arisen for an Commis (Asian cuisine) to join the team of Culinary in Jumeirah Olhahali Island.
The key duties of a Commis (Asian cuisine) will include:
To ensure that guest expectations are exceeded by providing an efficient, friendly and attentive service.
Actively participates in the provision of excellent service to guests.
Visually inspects, selects and uses only food items of the highest standard in the preparation of all menu items.
Checks and controls the proper storage of products.
Follows portion control methods.
Always complies with grooming and hygiene and with safety regulations and procedures as well as SOP.
Passes-on messages and information to colleagues during briefing sessions and when required.
Prepares all pantry food items according to standard recipes, or as otherwise specified by superior, to ensure consistency of service to guests.
To have an understanding and willingness to learn HACCP food hygiene and safety standards. Monitor and acts on all the HACCP processes
Supports the entire kitchen operations when required without any hesitation.
About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Minimum 1 year within the same role and position in a luxury resort or high-end restaurant
Should have wok & hot section experience.
Previous HACCP training is preferred.
Commitment to delivering a high level of service.
Ability to work under pressure and create team-work environment within the department
