About the Role:
An opportunity has arisen for an Commis – butchery to join the team of Culinary in Jumeirah Olhahali Island.
The Commis – butchery will be responsible for tenderizing, deboning, trimming, tying, grinding, and handling of meat.
The key duties of Commis – butchery will include:
Checks and controls the proper storage of products.
Always complies with grooming and hygiene and with safety regulations and procedures as well as SOP.
Maintain high standards of social skills with guests and colleagues at all times.
To have a good understanding of HACCP food hygiene and safety standards. Monitor and acts on all the HACCP processes and takes a key role to correct all the short falls.
Performs general cleaning tasks, using standard resort cleaning products as assigned by superior.
Keeps all refrigeration, equipment and storage, and working areas in clean, working conditions, in compliance with health and hygiene regulations.
Move supplies and equipment when required.
Reports any equipment in need of repair to superiors
Lead by example in all aspects of the working environment
Ensure compliance to all relevant Health, Safety and Environment management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity so that Jumeirah Group provides world class and luxurious hospitality services to its guests.
About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience, within a luxury 5-star environment is desirable.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Have a strong eye for detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to delivering a high level of service.
