About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for an Commis – butchery to join the team of Culinary in Jumeirah Olhahali Island.

The Commis – butchery will be responsible for tenderizing, deboning, trimming, tying, grinding, and handling of meat.

The key duties of Commis – butchery will include:

  • Checks and controls the proper storage of products.

  • Always complies with grooming and hygiene and with safety regulations and procedures as well as SOP.

  • Maintain high standards of social skills with guests and colleagues at all times.

  • To have a good understanding of HACCP food hygiene and safety standards. Monitor and acts on all the HACCP processes and takes a key role to correct all the short falls.

  • Performs general cleaning tasks, using standard resort cleaning products as assigned by superior.

  • Keeps all refrigeration, equipment and storage, and working areas in clean, working conditions, in compliance with health and hygiene regulations.

  • Move supplies and equipment when required.

  • Reports any equipment in need of repair to superiors

  • Lead by example in all aspects of the working environment

  • Ensure compliance to all relevant Health, Safety and Environment management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity so that Jumeirah Group provides world class and luxurious hospitality services to its guests.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience, within a luxury 5-star environment is desirable.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Have a strong eye for detail

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Commitment to delivering a high level of service.
