Oracle Global Service Center (GSC) is a unit within oracle that establishes long-term relationships with many of Oracle's customers through annuity-based service contracts and project-based one-time services. It is an offshore Hub that will cater to the needs of all Service entities across Oracle globally. GSC team sells from a broad IT-services portfolio in both the fixed price and T&M basis. GSC services are typically requested by large Oracle customers that require the utmost attention to real mission-critical applications and processes. GSC covers the majority of large-scale Oracle customers.

Responsibilities

Description

What You’ll Do

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning customer specific engagements, managing the business requirements, development, review and sign-off process, managing the execution of deliverables while controlling scope, executing the change management process when needed, and ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies and project roadblocks.

You will work with leaders in Oracle Consulting, Development and Support focused on Oracle’s Cloud products.

  • Be passionately customer-focused; relentlessly pursue providing an excellent customer experience every time

  • Establish, maintain and deepen client relationships by providing results and exceeding expectations

  • Plan, manage and communicate the progress of projects, achieving project milestones and maintaining project momentum for on-time, on-budget delivery

  • Successfully lead projects working effectively with client management, client business users, and IT organizations

  • Identify and effectively mitigate risks

  • Facilitate resolution of issues and roadblocks, escalate when appropriate

  • Communicate well with all stakeholders, internal and external, including project sponsors, project managers, and project team members

  • Work collaboratively with project delivery leads and project resources

  • Effectively manage scope, budget, timeline, resources, quality and customer satisfaction throughout the project

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and compliance with Oracle internal processes and procedures

  • Help to expand Oracle solution footprint in installed base of existing customers

  • Present and promote the value of Oracle Consulting Professional Services to prospective customers

  • Overall performance responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverable, which includes applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management, and revenue/cost forecast

  • Provide day to day direction to the project team and regular project status to the customer

  • Exercise creativity, independent judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques

Required Skills/Experience

What You’ll Bring

You have that rare combination—a sharp technical brain and a head for business. You’ll use this to help customers achieve real-world success with our products. We also look for:

  • Over 15+ years of experience relevant to this position, including 8 years of project/program management experience of no less than 5 complete end-to-end implementation and/or upgrade ERP Fusion/Netsuite projects

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a functional lead and/or solution architect role with deep domain knowledge of Oracle ERP applications and technology

  • Strong track record of project management of complex, and/or multi-pillar projects, implementation methodologies, project management tools e.g., MS Project, project estimation, project team management, client management and communications, and project and proposal leadership

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills to deal with internal stakeholders, customers and vendors

  • Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in Oracle Cloud Applications

  • Strong competence in developing presentations required MS Office

  • Demonstrated leadership and time management skills

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), facilitation and interpersonal skills

  • Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high energy and demanding team-oriented environment (both with clients and within the organization)

  • Flexible to travel
