Work Arrangement: Hybrid (primarily onsite & but with WFH opportunities)

Start Date: June – July 2025

Oracle NetSuite is looking for a software engineer to join the SuiteApp DevOps team, that is capable and willing to do both software development and testing. The role involves a combination of solution development as well as the management of the infrastructure to run services in the cloud. Solution development involves design and implementation of programs and services for integration, infrastructure monitoring, and automation of builds with multiple layers of tests.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Take part in creating and maintaining scalable solutions to support the build automation needs of a growing team of software engineers working within the Oracle NetSuite SuiteCloud ecosystem.

  • Transform business requirements to actionable functional and technical software designs.

  • Implement and peer-review source code according to Oracle standards.

  • Scrub any relevant issues and figuring out how to reproduce them in a test account based on the customer's description of the problem.

  • Create comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business requirements.

  • Conduct new feature testing, regression testing and bug fix testing.

  • Design, develop and maintain automated tests for SuiteApp DevOps' tools and services.

  • Participate in addressing customer reported defects and enhancement requests.

  • Streamline software development processes through DevOps technologies such as continuous integration pipelines and metrics collection tools.

  • Maintain and security harden infrastructure by performing component upgrades and adopting Oracle-approved technologies.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • 2024 or 2025 Graduate of bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Information technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent.

  • Familiarity with code branch management and use of revision control systems.

  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.

  • Experience in writing quality code in at least one programming language.

  • Strong background in object-oriented design principles.

  • Comfortable with Linux as the primary development environment.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills working in a team environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
