Senior Technical Analyst

What the day will look like

As the Senior Technical Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring business and customer outcomes are achieved. You will be responsible for overseeing and driving the technical aspects of products, projects and initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of solutions, while providing technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a strong communicator and possesses a deep understanding of technologies and best practices.

The Technical Analyst’s prime responsibilities are to:

  • Configuring insurance products on various Aon business platforms; such as risk codes, products, eLink, Webforms, Oracle BI Publisher templates

  • Conducting Data Analysis and Field Mapping exercise and creating Data Mapping / Layout artefacts

  • Participate in projects as a SME for allocated platforms across the APAC region.

  • Liaise with business stakeholders, developers, and other technical teams to gather, analyse, and document end-user requirements.

  • Involvement in developing functional specifications that design and document the desired outcome of system modifications.

  • Responsible for continuous development and self-improvement around application knowledge and business processes

  • Continuous improvement mind-set and close collaboration requirement inter and intra team.

  • Participate as a member of a distributed team across Asia and Pacific

  • Prepare and review testing documentation, particularly test scripts adhering to company best practice testing processes.

  • Undertake specialised and general testing as required, including external stakeholders where relevant.

  • Identify and document platform defects in JIRA.

  • Participate in the deployment when new products are enhanced or added. Provide trainings when necessary.

  • Perform application support role for allocated systems to help ensure allocated systems meet agreed Service Level Agreements.

  • Help consolidate and reduce technical debt

    Governance & Delivery

  • Comply with the APAC and Global PMO processes and security standards as directed.

  • Work with GSS on any penetration testing.

    Technical Skills & Knowledge Knowledge

  • Experience of working in the Insurance Industry (desirable).

  • Experience of working on risk and risk related problems with different client segments (desirable).

    Skills

  • Excellent abstract problem solving and vision.

  • Practices proper time management (ability to prioritise multiple tasks).

  • Excellent in understanding the need for a good user experience and business needs.

  • Innovative thinking.

  • Good communication both written and oral English across multiple constituencies.
