Title Lunch Clerk at MIS

Description The Lunch Clerk provides students and staff with food of high nutritious quality in an atmosphere
of cleanliness, cheerfulness, and personal caring. The lunch clerk also assures that the financial
records for the lunch program are maintained so that the program runs efficiently.
A Day in the Life
Collects money and credits student/staff accounts so meals can be purchased.
Maintains accurate records of accounts, money collected, and meals served in order to
meet compliance mandates and state reports.
Maintains collected money to ensure the safe keeping of the funds.
Assists with the preparation of food items according to the kitchen managers instructions
to ensure that meals are served on time.
Prepares menu board so students/staff know what is being served each day.
Maintains confidentiality as appropriate in order to comply with district, state and federal
laws.
Performs other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective
functioning of the food service program.
Profile of a Successful Candidate
Has basic computer skills
Has basic math skills
Is a team worker
Is able to woable of state health regulations
Has earned a high school diploma
Food Safety Basics-State Department of Education
Cashier experience is recommended
