Amazon Sr. SLP Manager (Cluster), World Wide Operations Security (WWOS) in Maheshtala, India

Description

The Sr. Security and Loss Prevention Manager (Sr. SLPM) is a key leadership position within the Amazon Security and Loss Prevention (SLP) team in India. The key responsibilities of a Sr. SLPM would include, but limited to the following:

• Plan, organize, coordinate, implement and execute processes and procedures.

• Prepare and develop workable plans to sustain and deliver to organizations goals, forecast budget requirements, etc

• Assist with investigations of internal and external theft/fraud while ensuring compliance with relevant Amazon professional and ethical standards as well as with local legislation.

• identify forward looking path and make diligent trade-offs on short verses long-term needs in a fast-paced operational environment where change is constant.

• Ensures the right people are in the right job. Engage effectively with team and actively builds succession plans and creates leadership opportunities for their team members.

• Leads independently with limited guidance, but influences and negotiates effectively. Works actively to overcome barriers for self and team.

• Creates best practices. May negotiate new boundaries for their area of ownership to achieve a better, more efficient outcome.

• Proactively identify risk impacting operations and plan for business continuity engagements with the right stakeholders.

• Utilize continuous improvement techniques to evaluate current and future security services, processes, and initiatives. Shall possess working knowledge of project management and Lean Six Sigma methodology.

• Inspire performance excellence on the part of all security services team members and third-party vendors.

• Experience handling and analyzing data. Proficient with MS Excel.

• Shall posses good written and verbal communication in English as it is widely used business language for communication.

• 25% travel may be required (local, regional, and domestic only).

• This role covers a 24/7 operation and may require varied working hours to support business operations.

• Use tools and data analysis to track and report on key Loss Prevention metrics.

• Identify, promote, and implement security best practices.

• Effectively respond to and manage potential and actual work place violence incidents per policy.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or 10+ equivalent professional or military experience • 2+ years of people management experience • 5+ years in supply chain security, including management of third-party logistics providers, law enforcement, loss prevention, risk management or similar field • 3+ years with fraud identification and detection, investigation and analysis for root causing and providing suitable preventive mechanisms. • Knowledge of latest technology, security equipment and e-security to manage losses proactively • 1+ years with MS Office Professional Suite, including Excel

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in logistics, retail, supply chain and transportation security preferably also express and last mile experience. • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma concepts desired and certification • Professional credentials in Loss Prevention, such as, CPP, PSP, Wicklander and Zulawski certification • Experience with warehouse or distribution center services • Awareness and implementation of best practices related to the utilization of physical security systems, investigation techniques, effective oversight of contract security officers, and distribution center loss mitigation techniques • Strong familiarity with data bases (querying and analyzing) such as SQL, MYSQL, Access, Exception Based Reporting, etc. • Results oriented leader with strong influencing skills • Comfortable working in a fast-paced ambiguous environment • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities • Analytical leader experienced in performance based, action and results oriented management, strong project manager and effective problem-solver.
