Responsibilities

What you will do

As a Senior Manager in Production Engineering, you will be responsible for execution of multiple critical initiatives and operational excellence across your area of responsibility. Your role will involve applying your technical and organizational skills to solve delivery, support, and operational optimizations. You will provide leadership within a platform organization focused on modernizing existing frameworks to meet the needs of next-generation clinical application development.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and mentoring a highly skilled team of Site Reliability Engineers (SRE), fostering a collaborative and productive work environment

  • Production Engineering strategy and execution

  • Operational excellence and ensure the efficient and reliable operation of Oracle Health's SaaS cloud-based products and core technologies supporting hospital systems worldwide

  • Technology leadership

  • Compliance and security by ensuring we are compliant with relevant industry regulations, security standards, and organizational policies

  • Willing to be on-call duty

  • The position is based in Madrid working in hybrid mode and going to the office 1-2 days per week.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field or equivalent relevant experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology operations, site reliability engineering, or a related field

  • At least 5 years of experience in managing and leading technical teams

  • Proven expertise in cloud computing, distributed systems, and scalable infrastructure

  • Strong knowledge of SRE practices, automation, monitoring, and incident management

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills

  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities across technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience working in a regulated industry, such as healthcare, is highly desirable

  • Fluent in English
