GE Vernova HR Internship in Madrid, Spain

Job Description Summary

This role will give you exposure to a broad range of experiences in the Human Resources area. You will assist the GE Vernova HR Partners in Spain and Portugal in multiple areas like employee engagement activities, trainings, and other life cycle process for employees, as many other aspects of HR work.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate project initiatives to improve internal processes such as onboarding and immigration

  • Providing HR support for the full scope of HR generalist activities for Spain (employee Induction and orientation, employee relations, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, communications and policy, recruitment and sourcing, performance management...)

  • Proactively manage HR systems to maintain data integrity/search for data/queries/workflow management

  • Site based support/contact for logistics and event activities/volunteer days etc.

  • Provide operational support in areas such as recruitment, database management and employee queries of moderate complexity

  • Provide HR admin support and assist Spain and Portugal HR Partners

  • HR Project work (as directed by HRPs)

  • Overseeing onboarding and offboarding processes and ensure all the legal requirements are met.

  • Overseeing recruitment efforts.

  • Partner with HRP to define and implement people solutions and processes to effectively utilise resources and improve organisational capabilities

  • Effectively address critical people related issues with innovative and creative solutions

  • Self-starter with plenty of initiative and willingness to get involved with GE Vernova initiatives

  • Excellent written and oral communication

  • Skills Proficiency in IT: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • High energy level, driven with a positive enthusiasm and a pragmatic approach

  • Intercultural sensitivity

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and strong problem-solving skills HR experience ideally gained within an industrial projects/services organization

  • Comfortably working in fast paced, demanding roles working to tight deadlines.

  • Good communication skills, engaging with all levels of an organisation
