Kyndryl Database Administrator in Madrid, Spain

The Role

At Kyndryl we are looking for a Database Administrator. As part of our Database team you will be responsible for:

  • Manage and perform database maintenance and performance.

  • Implement customer requirements, resolve technical issues quickly and thoroughly and also involve partner teams in problem resolution.

  • Install, configure and maintain DB2 LUW instances and Microsoft SQL instances.

  • Manage the compliance process (configuration related security processes, access management, patch management, etc.).

  • Manage migration processes.

  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize processes and procedures.

In this team you will work with Spain and other foreign countries, so it is essential to speak Spanish and English.

At Kyndryl we offer professional development. In addition to training and skills improvement programs, you will have the possibility to get certified in the main platforms and you will work with a variety of clients to learn as much as possible.

Who You Are

Requirements:

  • At least three years of experience managing Microsoft SQL databases in Windows environments and DB2 databases in Unix/Linux environments.

  • Knowledge of scripting to be able to automate processes.

  • Knowledge of high availability environments:

MS Sql Server Cluster

DB2 HADR

  • Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, AIX, Linux),

backup and monitoring and storage.

Valuable:

Knowledge of other database managers such as Sybase and PosgreSql will be a plus.
