Job Title: Welder
Job Description
Join a leading organization in the design and manufacture of piercing tools, bursting systems, pneumatic hammers, and horizontal directional drill tooling. Our products are used globally by contractors to install or replace fiber, communication, water, sewer, and gas lines with minimal disruption to above-ground landscapes, structures, and traffic flow.
Responsibilities
Perform 045 MIG production welding on mild steel.
Engage in production-based welding of similar products.
Work from blueprints to complete welding tasks.
Utilize hand and power tools, including hammers and welders.
Conduct fixture welding.
Perform minor tasks such as grinding, blasting, and using a band saw.
Essential Skills
1 year of MIG welding experience.
Proficiency in MIG welding and fabrication.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Welding degree from a technical school.

Work Environment
The facility is very clean and organized, featuring high ceilings but no air conditioning in the summer. The shop provides Gatorade and ice cream during hot weather. The workplace includes 55-60 employees, three different weld groups, and 12 welding bays. The first shift operates from 6am to 3pm with mandated 45-50 hours a week, while the second shift runs from 2:45pm to 11:45pm with overtime options. Employees must wear steel-toe boots, welding helmets, and welding gloves.
