Job Description Summary

The Verification and Validation Leader is responsible for design verification and validation using manual and automated test methods. Responsibilities include carrying out all test life cycle activities including planning, preparing and executing the verification and validation, driving automation and mentoring the test team.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts (manual and automated)

  • Prepare test setup required for test execution

  • Oversee test execution and defect management

  • Publish test reports

  • Participate in project meetings, specification reviews, technical and formal design reviews, program increment and sprint planning, scrums

  • Analyze requirements for testability

  • Mentor and guide test teams through all phases of the verification and validation design cycle

  • Collaborate cross functionally to support testing of early prototype, feasibility designs, and new product introduction deliverables

  • Develop and implement data quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting systems

  • Proactively monitor data quality, identify anomalies, and drive root cause analysis and remediation

  • Work closely with software engineers, architects and business stakeholders to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle

  • Develop new test systems and tools and maintain existing test systems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Engineering or a related field

  • Minium of 5 years of experience in software & product testing

  • Good knowledge of testing methodologies and processes, including manual, automated, standards and compliance testing

  • Familiar with software testing methodology/processes and software development life cycle

  • Experience in Agile methodology

  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

  • Familiarity with working in regulated environments such as Healthcare / Medical devices
