This position will support our Trachte facility in Madison, WI. As a part of nVent, Trachte is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered metal buildings for industrial and commercial applications. We design, manufacture, market, install and service high performance products and solutions for mission-critical equipment, buildings and essential processes. Offering both prefabricated and on-site building capabilities, framed and frameless building construction types, and products ranging from build kits and modular units to fully engineered integrated buildings. WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: * Lead and partner in strategic projects focused on direct commodities across our global locations. Align with the global and local commodity teams to select suppliers and leverage negotiated agreements. * Support cost management initiatives focusing on cost reduction, working capital, on-time delivery and quality. * Coordinate and resolve issues regarding existing and new suppliers. Interact with customers and internal partners to ensure that all requirements are being met. * Designs and develops specific supply chain initiatives to achieve competitive advantage and to improve responsiveness to customer demand. YOU HAVE: * Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related degree is required. * 3+ years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, Commodity Management, Procurement, or Operations preferably in a manufacturing environment. * Project management skills to develop plans with action steps and timetables, meet deadlines, coordinate cross functional teams, and handle multiple priorities. * Demonstrated strong negotiation skills to effectively meet and exceed business objectives. * Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstances; must be able to thrive in a constantly changing business environment. * Ability to build and maintain effective work relationships at all levels both internally and externally (customers, suppliers, etc.) * Ability to travel 10% - 30%, both domestic and international travel.
