We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the plastics manufacturing industry in the great Madison area. The role primarily involves assisting the team with complex financial entries and supporting the month-end close process.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the team with complex financial entries and provide support to the team as needed.

• Take on the responsibility of assisting with the month-end close process, including journal entries related to inventory and overhead absorption.

• Calculate manufacturing variance and compare overhead spending to the budget.

• Carry out month-end close procedures meticulously.

• Fill in for the Sr. Cost Accountant, handling some variance reports that need to be completed.

• Use NetSuite ERP for managing and recording financial transactions.

• Execute account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.

• Maintain the general ledger and make necessary journal entries.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and reporting.

• Handle the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reconciled.

Requirements • Must possess strong skills in Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is essential

• Comprehensive knowledge of General Ledger management is necessary

• Ability to handle Journal Entries accurately and efficiently

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must

• Experience in executing Month End Close procedures is mandatory

• Familiarity with NetSuite software will be a significant advantage
