Catalent Pharma Solutions Specialist Il – Environmental, Biochemist, Health Safety & Security in Madison, Wisconsin
The Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHS&S) Specialist ll is responsible for the implementation of environment, health, and safety programs for the Madison facility. This position works with all departments to ensure safety is incorporated in the daily work plans and schedules. The Specialist also ensures compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements.

The role:
Assist in the execution of an effective EHS&S program that meets all regulatory requirements.
Draft necessary SOPs covering EHS&S related activities.
Provide training on EHS&S procedures and policies.
Assist in ensuring audit program is implemented and followed.
Conduct and update risk assessments with assistance from EHS&S Manager.
Partner with EHS&S Manager to coordinate the SDS program.
Conduct annual agency reporting with assistance from EHS&S Manager.
Lead the Safety Committee members through scheduled monthly meetings and help conduct monthly site audits.
Lead the Safety Committee in developing metrics for measuring audit response time and establishing timelines for implementing various EHS&S programs.
Implement Continuous Improvement opportunities as identified.
Ensure contractor EHS&S compliance and work with various departments.
Conduct incident reporting with workers comp and annual reporting to OSHA.
Other duties as assigned
The candidate:
M.S./M.A. in EHS&S, Biotechnology, or related field with no prior experience; or
B.S./B.A. in EHS&S, Biotechnology, or related field with minimum of 3 years’ experience in related filed; or
Associates Degree/Certificate/Diploma in EHS&S or related field with minimum of 4 years’ experience in related field; or
High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years’ experience in related field.
Relevant professional certifications (ASP, CSP, CIH) a plus
OSHA reporting requirements
Understanding of GMP regulations, documentation, and requirements
Hazardous waste management experience
Understanding interaction procedures with various regulatory agencies
Familiar with ISO 45001 Standard implementation and program maintenance
