Job Description:

As a Software Installer (Field Systems Specialist) at Pitney Bowes, you will be instrumental in the Client onboarding process. A successful Software Installer is a tech-savvy individual passionate about delivering high-quality customer service. The FSS team is responsible for the full suite of backend software for all Pitney Bowes software solutions.

The wage range for this position is $25 to $30 / hour, with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements and the location where you will be performing the job.

You are:

You will:

  • Be 100% client-facing

  • Install and configure software applications and hardware peripherals

  • Provide end-user training and create job aides for system administrators/operators

  • Contribute to revenue growth through sales leads and billable professional services

  • Deliver solutions remotely using TeamViewer

  • Execute scheduled onsite installations

  • Work independently and make decisions free from the immediate direction of management

  • Stay up to date on carrier and industry knowledge

  • Connect to client servers or cloud interfaces

  • 85% travel with overnight stays as needed, to complete installations and training

  • Support a multistate territory including (but not limited to) Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Iowa

You Have:

  • Ability to adapt to changing environment in the areas of products and technology, customer personalities, and customer knowledge levels

  • Ability to analyze hardware and software problems

  • Understanding of DB connectivity and record set manipulation

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written

  • Understanding of network configuration, operating systems, software, and hardware

  • Willingness to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check

  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and a reliable vehicle for daily travel to multiple customer locations

  • Familiarity with Java Script

  • The ability to navigate networks and open ports

Within our Sending Technology Solutions team, we provide a full range of mailing equipment and postage meters, maintenance and support services, and supplies that enable our clients to create mail and evidence postage efficiently. We segment our Solutions business between our North American operations, comprising the U.S. and Canadian businesses, and our International operations. We are a leading provider of postage meters and have approximately one million meters installed.
