UW-SYSTEM-CENTRAL ADMINISTRATION PURCHASING SERVICE DELIVERY SUPERVISOR in MADISON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21042 POSITION SUMMARY This position supervises the Purchasing Card program for the Universities of Wisconsin, Purchasing Services Delivery Team. Responsible for program delivery, compliance, and continuous improvement, it will leverage resources from UW-Shared Service teams, peer information, and subject matter experts as it grows a program to oversee all Purchasing Card activities for twelve UW Institutions and UW System Administration. Reporting to the Purchasing Services Delivery Manager at UW-Shared Services, this position will supervise a team managing a growing Purchasing Card program. This oversight will include ensuring card use complies with Wisconsin Statutes, Policies, and Procedures, effectively communicating with stakeholders, monitoring and auditing card use for compliance, developing and managing effective training programs, and responding to internal audit findings. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures new card requests and existing card adjustments are addressed and resolved in a timely manner. -Provide guidance on the proper use of card products to cardholders. -Ensures a risk-based audit program is utilized to monitor cardholder spending behaviors for program compliance. -Communicates program performance to key stakeholders, including UW Leadership and UW Institution Procurement and Controller offices. -Seeks and implements Purchasing Card program improvement opportunities. -Responds to Internal Audit requests for information while implementing changes to address any audit findings. -Manage and prioritize team activities to meet Purchasing Card program needs. -Supervise and coach team members including hiring, performance management, termination, time approval etc. WORK LOCATION The office location is in Madison, WI. An in-office requirement is expected three days per week with the option to work the remaining days off-site/remote. A telecommuting agreement will need to be completed at the time of hire.
