JOB REQUIREMENTS: Pathology Reporting Specialist Surgical Pathology - 33897 Work Schedule : 100% FTE, day shift. Monday through Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM. No holidays or weekends. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the laboratory at hiring. We are seeking a Pathology Reporting Specialist - Surgical Pathology to: * Partner with Dept. of Pathology sub-specialists to coordinate patient care correspondence/materials, triage patient care related telephone encounters, coordinate with clinical teams for tumor board case review, and whole slide scanning. * Ensure accuracy and completeness of all case materials, documents, tests ordered, and patient care reports. * Facilitate the production of materials for research/study requests, including requests for clinical trial eligibility. Equal Opportunity Employer-minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education : Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following: * Completion of an accredited medical assistant program OR * Licensure as an LPN OR * Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program OR * Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee OR * Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated OR * One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification Work Experience : Preferred - One (1) year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Licenses and Certifications : Minimum - * Certified as CMA, RMA, or CCMA or eligible for certification.
