JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Student Orientation Advising and Registration (SOAR) program within the Office of Student Transition and Family Engagement (OSTFE) includes in-person and virtual components that engage every new undergraduate, facilitating their introduction to campus life, academic advising, and course enrollment. The Operations Specialist position will develop program content; manage logistics and data; supervise student leaders; and assess program effectiveness in collaboration with the rest of the OSTFE team and critical campus partners. The Operations Specialist will focus on developing processes and procedures related to SOAR. This position will coordinate with advising units and technical staff to review and support systems such as the SOAR Reservation System and Preparing for SOAR to ensure an optimal experience for SOAR registration and advising. This role will also support programming efforts related to the SOAR experience for both students and their families. Additionally, this position will supervise front desk staff for SOAR in the summer and the OSTFE office during the school year. Responsibilities: Provides subject matter expertise in the development and execution of programs within the scope of student learning and development. Organizes the facilitation and development of curriculum design for on-going and new educational initiatives.
