Our client, a leader in technology infrastructure and systems integration, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their team in Madison, WI. This is a long-term, hybrid onsite role offering a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team in supporting cutting-edge network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network solutions to support business systems and operations in a secure and scalable manner.

• Troubleshoot complex network issues across LAN/WAN, firewalls, and other relevant technologies.

• Perform capacity planning and contribute to scaling network operations to meet business needs.

• Support and maintain Cisco network technologies, including routers, switches, and wireless systems.

• Configure and optimize VPNs, firewalls, and security solutions to ensure data protection and compliance.

• Maintain system documentation, network diagrams, and procedures to ensure seamless communication across teams.

• Coordinate with vendors and providers for external infrastructure support to maintain connectivity and resolve network outages efficiently.

• Lead network performance analysis and develop improvement initiatives as necessary.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of network engineering experience in enterprise environments, including hybrid and/or onsite roles.

• Expertise in network architecture and extensive experience with routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).

• Strong proficiency in Cisco networking equipment (certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE are a plus).

• Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network monitoring tools.

• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP protocols.

• Ability to perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis in complex network environments.

• Knowledge of network virtualization technologies and cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a bonus.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements • Position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Network Engineer

• Proficiency in working with Cisco Routers is essential

• Strong skills in Configuration Management are needed

• Experience in Datacenter environments is required

• Extensive knowledge of Network Engineering is a must

• Experience with Cisco ASA Firewall is necessary

• Familiarity with Cisco Access Points is required

• Proficiency in using Cisco CallManager is needed

• Cisco CCNP certification is a must

• Cisco CCNA certification is required

• Proficiency in OSPF is essential

• Experience with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is necessary

• Strong skills in TCP/IP are needed

• Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP Networking is required
