Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated IT Asset Manager to oversee the lifecycle management of both hardware and software assets within our organization. This role is critical in maturing our asset management processes, ensuring compliance, optimizing asset utilization, and supporting overall IT operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT Asset Management (ITAM), including global asset management experience, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to process improvement. Essential Duties Include, but are not limited to, the following: Asset Management Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive IT Asset Management strategy that covers both hardware and software assets. Define policies, procedures, and standards for asset management to ensure consistency and compliance. Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from acquisition to disposal. Ensure accurate tracking, recording, and reporting of all hardware and software assets. Process Improvement: Continuously review and enhance asset management processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices and industry standards (e.g., ITIL) to mature the organization\'s asset management capabilities. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with licensing agreements, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. Identify and mitigate risks associated with asset management, including software license compliance and hardware security. Inventory and Database Management: Maintain and manage the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and other asset management tools. Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Support our CMDB project to enable a single source of truth for all asset information. Vendor and Contract Management: Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to optimize asset procurement and maintenance.
