Your day at NTT DATA
The Integration Services Project Manager provides pre-sales support to the Solution Engineering team and post-sales technical support to the Deployment Services team for successful integration of client infrastructure and requirements into the data center environment. The Integration Services PM will work with NTT personnel as well as client personnel directly on the integration and deployment of all infrastructure related and end-to-end requirements across the NTTGDC portfolio.
What you'll be doing
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates strong understanding of data center design concepts: power distribution, commissioning, cooling, hot and cold aisle containment, low voltage infrastructure and security.
Participates in customer opportunity and project meetings; traveling as needed for these meetings.
Participates in all aspects of client facing interactions including, but not limited to, pre-sales tour and infrastructure deployment consultation, design, documentation and post-deployment operation.
Gathers and fully understands all client requirements and specifications.
Works with Sales Engineer, client, vendors and contractors to provide turn-key solutions at the wholesale level.
Assists with client design standards where needed.
Reviews and incorporates client provided RFP documents.
Interfaces with customers, vendors and requisite internal NTTGDC departments regularly and on-going.
Develops and documents a comprehensive scope of work with budgetary costs. Deliverable to include a bill of materials (BOM) with lead times, milestones, tasks, risks, assumptions, objectives and dependencies relating to project.
Works with internal and external technical staff to ensure test plans have been completed and deployments undergo the proper Commissioning and Q/A-Q/C process. Will participate with Deployment Services on Commissioning/QA/QV processes as needed.
Assists in development of archive documents and record set drawings to maintain an accurate record of client site conditions as required.
Works with Deployment Services Project Management team to coordinate, place, and track equipment orders and shipments to meet project deadlines.
Works with Deployment Services Project Management team to provide ongoing project management and design services for client infrastructure projects throughout the life of the customer contract.
Works with Deployment Services Project Management team to ensure contracted services are delivered on time, within budget and according to specifications.
Uses Microsoft Project or equivalent tool to document, schedule, track and report on the various projects.
Uses AutoCAD, Revit, and/or Visio to produce customer facing and internal drawings.
Recommends appropriate process and procedure revisions as needed to focus on continuous improvement.
Schedules and facilitates as-needed project meetings with clients, vendors, and internal project team to address and mitigate deployment schedule risks.
Documents, publishes and tracks action items, owners, and due dates.
Escalates team and client issues to management as appropriate.
Trains, coaches, and mentors Deployment Services Team.
Assists Deployment Services Project Managers and Project teams to prepare status reports to keep management, clients, and project team informed of project status and related issues.
Coordinates and responds to requests for changes from original specifications.
Tracks and reports on quality assurance metrics and KPI’s.
Adheres to pre-defined departmental objectives and metrics to provide high level of customer service.
Supports strategic departmental objectives.
Performs other tasks as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Experience working with large, global and hyper-scale data center customer bases.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Visio and SharePoint.
Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
Knowledge of IT and data center infrastructure.
Knowledge of data center infrastructure design standards.
Possess excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Possess excellent customer service skills.
Highly motivated self-starter.
Ability to multi-task and remain calm in dynamic environment

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or work experience required.
Must have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in industry or relevant experience in data centers or critical environments.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.
Extensive walking of data center facilities and areas under construction.
Primarily sitting with periodically standing, walking, bending when creating, implementing, and checking on deployment projects.
Operate computer, peripherals, and other office equipment.
Perform work during US business hours and time zones.
WORK CONDITIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Data Center environment, which may be under construction for client builds, and subject to loud noises.
Typical office environment.
Daily usage of a computer and/or workstation keyboards and terminals.
Must be available to meet in person with client as needed and attend company/department meetings as required.
Regular travel to company locations throughout the US and customer or vendor sites approximately 10% of the time. Additional travel may be required based on project load.
Must be able to respond to emergency situations at the data center.
Responsible to carry a cell phone and provide 24 x 7 support as needed.
Must be willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, late nights, holidays.
This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.
NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $89,600 - $141,000.
All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
