UW HOSPITAL & CLINICS ECMO Specialist - 33957 in MADISON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: ECMO Specialist - 33957 Work Schedule : 90 % FTE, 36 hours/week. 8 or 12 -hour day/evening shifts scheduled between the hours of 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM . Weekend rotation required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of department. We are seeking an ECMO Specialist to: * Monitor, operate, and adjust ECMO circuits and the components to maintain patient specific parameters. * Continually assess and evaluate ECMO circuit and troubleshoot any difficulties with communication to the ECMO team. * Partner with ECMO Coordinators and Physician Leadership to advance the ECMO program to include quality improvement and education development. * Assist in staff training and quality and outcome review to ensure alignment with the ELSO guidelines. Preferred - Baccalaureate degree. Work Experience : Minimum - One (1) year of critical care experience. Preferred - Two (2) years of critical care experience. Licenses and Certifications : Minimum - Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner AND RRT Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care OR Registered Nurse license in the state of Wisconsin OR Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) as recognized by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) and State of Wisconsin Licensure as a Licensed Perfusionist.
