Job Description Summary

The Director of Insights, Analytics, and Competitive Intelligence is responsible for leading the development of strategic business insights to drive decision-making across the portfolio (Molecular Imaging and Contrast Media). This role combines strategy and insights taking into account market research, data analytics, and competitive intelligence to provide strategic recommendations that support business growth, product launches, and long-term planning. The Director will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, training, communications, R&D, and finance, to ensure strategic alignment and informed decision-making.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Lead the development of long-term strategic plans, aligning business goals with market opportunities and company capabilities across the portfolio (Molecular Imaging and Contrast Media).

  • Market Insights and Analytics: Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data, identifying trends, opportunities, and challenges to inform strategic initiatives across the portfolio (Molecular Imaging and Contrast Media).

  • Competitive Intelligence: Develop a robust competitive intelligence framework across the portfolio, monitoring competitor activities, industry developments, and market dynamics to identify risks and opportunities.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize advanced analytics across the portfolio to transform complex data sets into actionable insights, supporting product strategy, marketing initiatives, and sales optimization.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders within both portfolios across marketing, sales, R&D, and finance to align strategic initiatives with business objectives.

  • Product Launch Support: Provide insights and strategic guidance to support successful product launches, including market assessments, customer segmentation, and competitive positioning across the portfolio.

  • Performance Measurement: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of strategic initiatives, using data to make recommendations for continuous improvement across the portfolio.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of analysts and market researchers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation across the portfolio.

  • Executive Reporting : Prepare and present strategic insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence reports to senior leadership, influencing strategic decisions across the portfolio.

  • Ability to develop and articulate strategic plans that align with business objectives and drive long-term growth.

  • Proactively identify market opportunities, competitive advantages and emerging trends to drive strategic direction.

  • Strong skills to analyze complex data sets and extract actionable insights.

  • In-depth understand of the competitive environment including tracking competitor activities and assessing threats.

  • Experience utilizing advanced analytics techniques including forecasting, data modeling and scenario planning to predict market movements.

  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of analysts and researchers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Flexibility to adapt strategies based on new data, shifting marketing dynamics and evolving business goals.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, market research tools and methodologies to gather, analyze and interpret data.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in strategy, business intelligence, market research, or analytics, with a background in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

  • Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives, drive data-driven decision-making, and manage cross-functional projects.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools and methodologies.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to navigate complex projects, prioritize tasks, and manage competing priorities.

  • Experience in team leadership, with a track record of mentoring and developing talent.
