Summary of Objective: The Calibration and instrumentation Technician\'s primary duties are to calibration and troubleshooting support for facility and manufacturing critical systems. This is done by testing and calibrating electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, analytical, and measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to established calibration standards and principles. The Calibration Technician ensures calibration of all critical instrumentations are performed on-time and on schedule. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned. Perform field Calibrations across multiple facilities (pressure, temperature, speed, time) Update and maintain calibration database (BMRAM, Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager) Possesses an understanding of calibration procedures for process instruments, which measure temperature, pressure, flow, level, and composition, along with an understanding of process controls and troubleshooting. Coordinate with Metrology Contractors and Vendors to ensure calibration of all critical instrumentation is performed according to the schedule and approved SOPs. Coordinate with Operations and Quality in developing the calibration schedule. Review calibration certificates for completeness and accuracy. Maintain calibration standards Tag all new equipment/instrumentation and assign inventory numbers Recommends improvements on procedures Performs other tasks and special assignments as requested by management Special Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
