JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Graduate School at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking an Associate Director for Professional Development to lead professional development programming for graduate students with a focus on skill development, student lifecycle and transitions, and special projects related to graduate student programming and systems within the Office of Professional Development and Communication. Competitive candidates will have a creativity in professional development program design, proven success managing large events and/or projects, ability to learn and adapt to new technology, ability to identify and cultivate key partnerships across a large institution, and a passion for supporting graduate student skill development. The position will contribute knowledge and insight into the professional development-related needs of graduate students within UW-Madison\'s decentralized graduate education landscape, working to identify and strategically address gaps. This position is part of the Graduate School\'s Office of Professional Development and Communications, which includes the Delta Program. The professional development team coordinates, develops, and promotes learning opportunities to foster the academic and professional skills of UW-Madison\'s 11,000+ master\'s and doctoral students. Responsibilities: Provides guidance for program planning, implementation, and evaluation, and/or supervises outreach staff. Monitors budget and appropriate funding for programming. Promotes stable and productive relationships between the university and community.
