About This Opportunity JOB TITLE: Accountant, General POSITION TYPE: Full time CLASSIFICATION: Exempt Monday - Friday, hybrid schedule. Position Overview: This position is responsible for performing various general ledger and financial reporting duties. This includes assisting with compliance of various external organization requirements such as regulatory reporting, bank compliance, insurance and pension plan updates, activities and annual financial statement compilation and audit compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This also includes performing many secondary backup functions for the General Accounting Manager, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Key Accountabilities: Reporting: Provide periodic financial statements for external use Complete internal reports in a timely manner as requested by management Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested Assist with annual audited financial statements Maintain schedule of all external reporting requirements Provide audit schedules and answer external auditor questions Compliance: File property tax returns Complete government surveys Provide information for sales/use tax returns Assist with annual federal/state income tax returns Assist with insurance and pension audit coordination Ensure GAAP compliance General Ledger: Submit journal entries as part of month end close responsibilities Complete account reconciliations in a timely manner Provide GL account coding information to non-finance team members Fixed Asset Accounting: Create/close capital projects in Oracle Establish fixed assets in Oracle Monitor capital project spending and GAAP compliance Calculate depreciation Reconcile all capital accounts to the general ledger Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in accounting business, or related field Preferred Qualifications CPA or CMA Experience with Oracle or similar operating system One to three years of job-related experience Public accounting experience Physical Setting: Hybrid position, with in-person at the corporate office when necessary Benefits: Because you and your family matter, Foremost Farms offers some of the best benefits in the...
