This is a Quality Control position with a company in Madison, MS.
Summary: Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team-oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Part-time Quality Control, you will help facilitate the movement of product throughout our distribution center to company owned branches. You will be responsible for auditing and inspecting product for quality and accuracy within all departments of the warehouse. This is an entry-level position based out of our distribution center located at 359 Old Jackson Rd, Madison, MS 39110. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.
Duties & Responsibilities: Operating computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label product. Auditing various internal departments work to ensure compliance. Documenting discrepancies and entering data. Reporting results of audits. Maintaining the cleanliness/organization of work area. Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations. Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives. Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings
Requirements and Qualifications[]{#Hlk142289191}[]{#Hlk142304825}: 18 years of age or over, due to the nature of work. Proficient written and oral communication skills. Proficient computer skills. Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented. Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency. Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Work independently as well as in a team environment. Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed. Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork. Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs. Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY
