Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our AR and AP functions and manage a team of four accounting professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage AR and AP Functions: Oversee the accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of four accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
Internal Controls: Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Month-End Closing: Assist in month-end closing procedures, including reconciling accounts, reviewing transactions, and preparing necessary adjustments.
Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounting department.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting
Experience with financial reporting requirements
Experience in both AR and AP is required
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software.
Physical Requirements
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
