What You Will Be Doing:

The Bus Up Fit Technician is an entry level technician/mechanic position responsible for installing and modifying components on buses and equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Install and modify components on buses and equipment

  • Repair basic mechanical/electrical issues on new buses

  • Charge air conditioning systems

  • Install fire suppression systems on buses and equipment

  • Ability to modify and fabricate components to fit buses and equipment

  • Bus pre-delivery inspections

  • Repair basic mechanical/electrical issues on new buses

    Additional Responsibilities:

  • Adherence to all Yancey Bros. Co. Safety procedures and standards

  • Other administrative duties as assign by manager

    Who We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this position you should have the ability to operate hand and power tools, wire components according to drawings and understand how air condition systems work. Being able to work in with a team in a fast paced environment is also helpful.

Education/Experience:

  • High school or equivalent

    Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Able to operate hand and power tools and furnish your own basic hand and power tools to complete tasks assigned

  • Able to wire components according to drawings

  • Understand how air conditioning systems operate

  • Able to measure and cut to specifications

  • Work in a fast paced environment and in a team atmosphere

  • Be quality minded with attention to detail

    Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • Prior experience in a shop setting
