Production Supervisor | Contract to Hire

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead a team of Manufacturing Technicians on a brand-new lens assembly production line. As a player/coach, you will set the example for future copies of the assembly production line as the business scales.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Manufacturing Technicians on the lens assembly production line.

• Set the example for future assembly lines as the business scales.

• Maintain production records and support the creation and revision of standard operating procedures using Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Ensure compliance with production's Standard Operating Procedures.

• Oversee and supervise team activities, ensuring high productivity levels.

• Handle up to 50 pounds and operate equipment with physical dexterity.

• Communicate effectively with the Manager to review problems and determine the best course of action.

• Maintain a high level of morale and discipline within the team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in manufacturing or 3+ years of military service

• 3+ years in a supervisory role

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Mechanical reasoning and aptitude for running and understanding automated equipment

• Ability to oversee and supervise a team

• Reliability, dependability, and flexibility with a team player mentality

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience on an optics assembly line

• Experience with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma

• Familiarity with ERP (Netsuite) and/or MES (Tulip) systems

The work environment is a start-up location in Macedonia with innovative products expected to dominate the market. The facility is new, and the company will be hiring over 50 people. The work hours are 1st shift from 7 am to 3 pm.
