Air Mobility Command Recreation Assistant in MacDill AFB, Florida
Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation Department of the 6th Force Support Squadron Community Service Flight, at MacDill AFB, FL. Responsibilities Plans, Directs and leads daily activities of FAM CAMP check in/ Equipment Rental Desk. Responsible for daily funds, deposits, financial subsidiaries, and monitoring of the budget. Reports and reviews customer counts and daily receipts with Director. Resolves customer complaints and informed Director of complaint and resolution. Monitors check-in/check-out procedures and reservations ensure they are maintained and takes corrective actions as necessary. Maintains inventory of sundry items and cleaning supplies and orders when necessary. Issue and refund mail keys to campers. Mail out and maintain reservations. Contact for reservation confirmation, process cancellations and adjustments to accounts. Completes all required check in information to include firearms checked in. Process all storage contracts, enter in tracking system, issue combinations, and provide directions and instructions for all storage related issues. Answers phone and provides information within area of responsibility or direct calls to appropriate department. Provides information to internal and external customers about recreational activities, marinas, storage, FAM CAMP, skeet, pavilions, and beach rentals. Identifies problem areas and trends, suggests solutions, and initiates appropriate action to put new procedures in place. Ensures campers and visitors comply with all campground rules. Provides oversight and training to the staff. Responsible for scheduling, timecards, and training of staff on FAM CAMP procedures. Has input for annual performance evaluations for FAMCAMP recreation staff. Works under the supervision of the Outdoor Recreation Director. Qualifying Experience: Must have responsible general clerical background which has demonstrated arithmetic aptitude, ability, accuracy and attention to detail. Applicants must have basic computer skills enabling applicant to train staff on computerized reservation system. Must have Knowledge of general recreation including facility maintenance and grounds maintenance. Must have ability to interpret and explain procedures, policies, and organizational objectives. Must have experience with personnel policies and procedures enabling applicant schedule and direct staff. Knowledge of' NAF accounting procedures or business experience with bookkeeping in a commercial business operation is desired. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
