Eurofins Quality Assurance (QA) Officer in Maastricht, Netherlands

For our location in Maastricht, we are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Officer who provides daily quality support to Eurofins TMFI's operational teams. Someone with a sharp eye for details to ensure quality and compliance according to international forensic standards. As a Quality Assurance Officer, you have an important role in quality, safety and continuous improvement. You are responsible for holding ownership of our quality systems and workstreams associated with the Forensic Medical Investigation Services. You keep workbooks and procedures up to date and address quality issues from within the organization. This ensures continued compliance with required regulations, international standards and best practices. Furthermore, you provide support with the management non-conformities and customer complaints within our company, and you assist the Quality Manager during regulatory audits, internal audits and customer visits. Standing still means going backwards and that is why you have a proactive approach and encourage continuous improvement. This can include validation and implementation of methods and procedures, to creating and managing operational documents, such as procedures and work instructions. Periodic physical presence at an autopsy is part of the job, and therefore we find it important interested candidates consider possible emotional strain of the job. 

  • You have a bachelor's degree. Preferably in a scientific subject and two to three years of experience within the industry.  

  • Experience with Quality Management or Quality Support within an accredited medical or forensic laboratory (ISO 15189 and/or ISO 17025). 

  • Excellent adaptivity skills; your organizational sensitivity is spot-on, and you can easily make quality and compliance understandable for your stakeholders. 

  • You are analytical, accurate, result-oriented, and steadfast; you are not afraid to stand your ground to ensure quality. 

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, both in Dutch and English (B2/C1). 

You can expect an annual contract with the prospect of permanent employment, salary and a 13th month pay cheque. The salary range is between €2.929,00 and €5.000,00 based on 40 hours, depending on your experience and expertise. We like to work hard, but equally important is to rest on time. Therefore, we provide our employees with 25-days (about 3 and a half weeks) PTO based on 40 hours, with the option to purchase 12 extra days. You will receive a travel allowance of €0,23 per kilometer when travelling by car. You will be fully reimbursed for public transport costs.
