As an Architect within the Global Solutions team, you will join a world-class team that provides technical and thought leadership to the Professional Services organization globally. This role involves working closely with Splunk’s Observability portfolio of products, aligning closely with stakeholders, and acting as the SME and Trusted Advisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with multi-functional teams, including Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Customer Success, Technical Enablement, Education, and Support to improve product offerings and service delivery

  • Maintain consistent engagement with all organizational levels, from executive leadership (C-suite) to technical staff (developers and Site Reliability Engineers), ensuring strategic alignment and operational execution

  • Be comfortable working with customers to help them define their future architectural roadmap as a trusted advisor.

  • Lead all aspects of the adoption, optimization and integration of Splunk’s Observability solutions into the customers’ business architecture.

  • Be successful working with all levels of an organization from the C-suite down to individual developers and SRE’s.

  • Collaborate across the entire Splunk organization to bring access to product and technical teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation

  • Good corporate citizen – two-way flow of relevant and timely information; work as a team for the most efficient use and deployment of resources

  • Embrace continuous learning, maintain up-to-date knowledge of Splunk products, functional knowledge, and industry standard methodologies

Requirements:

  • Experience in technical consulting or sales engineering

  • Experience with Kubernetes & Containerization

  • Experience with both the Unix and Windows operating systems; comfortable with the command line interface

  • Experience developing documentation to include architecture diagrams, user guides, white papers or product manuals

  • 5+ years of current Application Performance Monitoring (APM) Implementation

  • Proficiency and demonstrable understanding in at least 2 of the following programming languages: Java, .NET, PHP, Ruby, Python, Node. JS, Objective-C, Java-Dalvik

  • Experience with Splunk Observability Preferred

  • Experience with AppDynamics Preferred

  • Proven experience working with container orchestration i.e. Kubernetes and Docker

  • Experience with Cloud IaaS providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure

  • Experience with enterprise monitoring systems i.e. Nagios, Elastic and Splunk

  • Experience with serverless functions i.e AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, Azure Functions

  • Experience with automation/orchestration tools, : Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform

  • Strong open systems application and infrastructure knowledge

  • Experienced and comfortable closely collaborating with technical teams to ultimately drive customer-focused outcomes!

  • Strong track record of aligning stakeholders by influencing without authority

  • Highly collaborative teammate!

  • Experience successfully leading global end-to-end process and technology transformation projects

  • Familiarity with Agile work management and/or the ability to effectively communicate sophisticated processes within and across team

  • Willingness to travel (remote position)

Note:

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $181,200.00 - 249,150.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $163,080.00 - 224,235.00 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $144,960.00 - 199,320.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
