Customer Service Specialist 2 - Enrollment Services

SALARY:$1,295.6-$1,457.2/month for a 16 hour per week schedule

LOCATION:Lynnwood, Washington

DESCRIPTION:   

The Customer Service Specialist 2 must exhibit an appreciation of, a sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological and ethnic backgrounds. This includes a demonstrable understanding and acceptance of the mission, values, goals and objectives of Edmonds Community College, and acceptance of the responsibility to promote the welfare and best interests of students at all times.

The position serves as customer services specialist in assisting students, faculty, staff, and community members with any and all questions and needs with respect to admissions and registration via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions. Critical to this position is the ability to provide excellent customer service, admitting and registering students, answering Enrollment Services phone lines, helping students on Zoom, corresponding via email, and providing assistance with any entry to completion processes. This position maintains and handles various confidential student records. Additionally, this position is responsible for scanning and indexing all incoming forms to Enrollment Services.

This is a permanent part-time classified position reporting to the Associate Dean of Recruitment, Admissions, Enrollment Services.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Greet, assist, provide direction and information to students and the community in processes related to admissions, enrollment, registration, and records. Includes problem resolution of complex issues related to admissions eligibility and enrollment requirements based on the interpretation of federal, state and institutional regulations and policies

Provide direct service at the Enrollment and Financial Aid Services front counter, on the phone, and on Zoom

Using excellent customer service skills, guide new students through the admission and assessment process, perform registration functions, provide information on programs and services, receive and route requests for information, and provide direction and referral.
