The Amazon Business (AB) Europe team is looking for a Senior Product Manager to develop Amazon’s Single supplier experience in the EU, Invoice by Amazon (IBA). Amazon Business launched in the United States in April 2015 and has since expanded to 10 countries, with the vision of delivering a comprehensive procurement solution for business, government, education, and healthcare customers of all sizes. At the core of its EU business offering, Amazon Business has the Single supplier experience IBA, which allows procurement to access our vast marketplace selection without dealing with the complexity of managing hundreds of thousands of Suppliers. IBA is essential for scaling our business in Europe.

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Product Manager with proven experience in thought leadership and detailed execution to lead, expand, and grow Amazon’s Single supplier experience for business customers, based in Luxembourg. As the person responsible for IBA’s pan-EU IBA product management strategy and roadmap, you will support setting the direction, and leading the team to redefine how business customers acquire the products through the single supplier construct in all countries throughout Europe. As a senior leader of the Europe B2B team you will be responsible for guiding the company’s efforts to develop, launch and scale our emerging IBA feature set and functionality, with a sharp focus on addressing the unique needs of business customers in Europe but also on ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. The experienced Sr. Product Manager will work closely with the WW product management and engineering team along with other Amazon teams to implement a Product and Go-to-market strategy that is coordinated across Buy- and Sales-side. As a senior leader on the European business team, this individual will be expected to play a key role in influencing and defining the overall long-term strategy for the Invoice by Amazon experience. It is a highly visible role within the EU Amazon community and will work particularly closely with the 3P business.

Key job responsibilities

The candidate must be a strong communicator and influence, with the ability to communicate concisely and effectively with senior leaders and multiple stakeholders to drive meaningful change. He or she will enjoy diving deep into data and Voice of Customer, identifying defects and opportunities, understanding key compliance or abuse risks, and designing/implementing long-term solutions in collaboration with multiple Product and Tech teams.

• Start with the customer and work backwards to define the set of features to address the procurement needs of EU business customers.

• Define the single supplier experience for EU business and government customers.

• Work closely with the global B2B product management team to establish and develop the long-term roadmap to grow IBA and increase the benefit of downstream features.

• Work with Legal, Tax, and Risk stakeholders to ensure adherence to EU B2B regulation and compliance policies for new and existing product launches.

• Identify and prioritize IBA features aiming to streamline procurement and reduce overhead for Amazon Business customers.

• Work cross-functionality with a diverse set of Amazon teams including Product, Technology, Sales, Marketing, Legal, Tax, Finance and Customer Service to deliver on shared goals.

• Identify blockers and solve through creative problem solving, effectively escalating across all levels in the company when required.

• Design customer engagement processes that address the various customer segments including small businesses, large enterprises, end-user and senior procurement executives.

• Establish operational metrics and reporting to manage product delivery, ongoing KPIs, and Pan-EU IBA effectiveness.

• Build effective mechanisms for providing internal feedback and external, voice of customer feedback to development teams.

• Develop daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting to objectively track progress to goals and to provide customer insights.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 5+ years in a product management role in a relevant industry

  • Proven experience in leadership roles across detail-oriented functions, such as product or program management, account management, and customer engagement.

  • Experience delivering product solutions, preferably in the B2B procurement space.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence others, both internally and externally.

  • Superior analytical skills, including strong ability to identify and solve highly ambiguous problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems. In particular, identifying customer needs and inventing new ways to meet those needs.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, and prioritize.

  • Proven track record of success in roles of increasing responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA and/or management consultancy experience;

  • Experience in product management in a technology company;

  • History of working with tech teams;

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights.
