Amazon Sr. Outbound Marketing Manager, Books & Kindle in Luxembourg, Luxembourg

We’re looking for a Sr Marketing Manager with strong analytical and project management experience to join our Books and Kindle Marketing team. This role is for candidates who are passionate about marketing communications, and empowering customers find their next great read.

In this role, you will own the marketing communications strategy for Books & Kindle across Outbound channels (CRM, Email, Push) and will be responsible to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention goals.

You will develop, optimize and execute effective campaigns and present your strategy to senior leadership for new initiatives and customer experiences. This includes identifying target audiences, developing content and messaging, and partnering across internal teams.

You will work with cross-functional teams to build out communication strategies, develop and leverage marketing opportunities, growing strategic programs and enforce a high bar for CRM communications to create a world class experience for Books and Kindle.

To be successful in this role, you will need to thrive on ambiguity, be able to see the big picture and also execute on a tactical level and detail-oriented. Experience in marketing communications, web analytics and CRM/email/push marketing is highly desired.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy and execution for Books and Kindle marketing on Outbound/CRM channels (Email, Push notifications) to establish best in class marketing programs

  • Own end-to-end customer facing marketing campaigns, and improve processes to automate, scale and innovate Email and Push touch-points

  • Drive continuous performance optimization: monitor, analyze and report performance and patterns using key metrics and KPIs to measure success and inform future improvements strategies, accounting for relevance, selection and business objectives.

  • Develop and execute marketing programs across various stages of the customer lifecycle, ensuring a seamless and engaging customer experience

  • Build customer segmentation and targeting to deliver messaging that is personalized, complementary, and reinforced across our channels, communicating the right features and content our customers

  • Proactively drive a measurement and learning framework for Books & Kindle across Outbound channels.

  • Drive A/B testing across channels, including creative imagery, messaging, offers, and CTAs

  • Work closely with BI and partner teams to gain insights into customer behaviour, drive insights and develop targeted retention campaigns.

  • Partner with Books and Kindle teams to align on cross-functional efforts to retain customers

  • Provide business requirements to Product Management and Engineering teams to build foundational systems.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years relevant work experience in product/program/marketing management

  • Strategical thinking with executing capability

  • Experience partnering across a global organization and influencing across multiple teams

  • Able to work in a diverse team

  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and advance projects’ business cases.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing products from inception to launch

  • Experience defining and executing marketing strategies and GTM plans

  • Savvy interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization (e.g. Marketing, Product, Engineering, Design, Legal, Public Relations and Senior Leadership)

  • International/inter-cultural work experience

  • Additional European languages (e.g. German, Italian, French, Spanish)
