Amazon Finance Manager, Accounting in Luxembourg, Luxembourg
Description
The EMEA Intercompany Accounting team in Luxembourg is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Finance Manager. This role has responsibility for key aspects of the controllership and accounting function in support of EMEA operations. The position manages complex accounting flows across multiple legal entities, involving collaboration with stakeholders in diverse locations.
A key focus of this role will be leveraging new technologies to streamline processes and develop deep subject matter expertise in this area. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in transforming the EMEA intercompany accounting function through the strategic application of new technologies. The successful Finance Manager will help lead the team towards greater productivity, visibility and control over the region's complex financial operations.
Key job responsibilities
•Preparation and review of various deliverables to support both internal and external financial reporting needs, including analytic commentary and the preparation of supplementary financial analysis for management and other stakeholders;
•Leading certain month end close activities, ensuring that relevant deadlines are met;
•Actively contributing to improvement initiatives, standardization, re-engineering of processes and controls, and implementation of best practices;
•Supporting external audits;
•Working with various cross-functional stakeholders to maintain efficient and compliant accounting and reporting processes, and effective controls;
•Being a key contributor to European and global projects and initiatives, from scoping through to testing and launch, collaborating closely with stakeholders across the organization;
•Demonstrating strong technical accounting acumen to be able to conclude on accounting treatment of new product launches, projects and transactions.

Basic Qualifications
University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
Significant experience with accounting and financial reporting, preferably gained within a Big Four firm and / or a multinational organization;
Excellent communication skills with fluent English;
Proficient Microsoft Excel user;
Preferred Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of IFRS or other accounting frameworks;
Experience independently managing multiple projects with competing schedules;
Excellent communication and organization skills, including the ability to anticipate, identify and communicate risks to leadership;
Passion to continuously enhance processes and reduce manual efforts through automation or optimization initiatives
Proven track record of using digital tools and automation to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.
