Job Title: Pipe Welder
Job Description
Pipe welders will be working on new construction job sites throughout the Tampa area. They must have experience in commercial pipefitting and welding. (for a faster response email dharriswitter@aerotek.com)
Responsibilities
Plan installation or repair of piping systems including cutting, threading, and bending
Lay-out, assemble, install, maintain, and repair various types of pipe systems
Mount hangers and brackets as required
Install valves, coupling, and other fittings
Essential Skills
Stainless steel welding
Pipe welding
6G welding
Commercial pipefitting
Blueprint reading
Brazing
Soldering carbon steel pipe and copper
Sch. 40 steel pipe 2.5 inch to 8 inch
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must have a minimum of 5 years of commercial construction experience
Ability to read prints
6G certified or ability to pass a 6G weld test

Work Environment
You will be working outside for the majority of the project at a new construction job site, which can be hot in summer and cold in winter. The job will be on a military base and requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 15 times daily, stand for extended periods, and climb ladders and steps. Orientation will be held on Monday and Wednesday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lutz, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00
