Aerotek is hiring for material handlers in the Baltimore, MD area

Qualified candidates will perform the following:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler responsible for packaging finished products and preparing them for shipment. The role requires extensive care in handling fragile and expensive equipment. You will spend the majority of your time packaging items for shipment and operating a forklift or pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Package finished products and prepare them for shipment with extensive care.

• Operate forklift or pallet jack to move materials.

• Use UPS and FedEx for shipping and receiving.

• Prepare shipping labels using a computer.

• Conduct inventory, cycle counts, and use RF scanners.

• Handle material and track inventory using WMS.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of experience in shipping and receiving.

• Experience in packaging and preparing products for shipment.

• Proficiency in using computers to create shipping labels via UPS or FedEx.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle intricate and fragile products with care.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with inventory tracking, material handling, and RF scanners.

• Ability to operate a forklift.

Work Environment

The position is based in a small manufacturing facility in Timonium, MD, with around 30 full-time employees across the office and manufacturing floor. The shipping and receiving/warehouse team is small, consisting of 1-2 people. This is a 1st shift opening from 7am to 3:30pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
