Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Laboratory Operational Excellence (Lab OpEx) Program Manager (all genders) to lead and optimize operations within our global Quality Control (QC) laboratories. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring efficient and compliant laboratory processes that meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement OpEx strategies to enhance productivity, efficiency, safety and quality in QC laboratories worldwide.

  • Lead cross-functional teams in executing process improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.

  • Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with global QC laboratory leaders to standardize processes and share best practices.

    • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Provide training and mentorship to staff on OpEx principles and tools and safety initiatives.

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and impact of improvement initiatives.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the QC laboratories.

Qualifications Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master degree in a scientific discipline, engineering, or related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a laboratory or quality control environment, with a strong focus on operational excellence

  • Proven experience in leading and managing large-scale process improvement projects

  • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), or other relevant OpEx methodologies of advantage

  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment

  • Willingness to travel 20%+
